Introducing Tasks: Connect Daily Work to Your OKRs
Bridge the gap between high-level objectives and day-to-day execution. Our new Tasks feature helps teams track actionable work items directly linked to Key Results.

From Strategy to Execution
OKRs are powerful for setting direction, but how do you connect your ambitious goals to the actual work your team does every day? That's exactly why we built the Tasks feature in Pulse OKR.
The Missing Link
We heard from teams that they loved tracking OKRs, but struggled with:
- Visibility gaps – "What should I work on today to move the needle?"
- Context switching – Jumping between OKR tools and task managers
- Progress tracking – Manually calculating how tasks contribute to Key Results
Tasks solves all of this by bringing actionable work items directly into your OKR workflow.
How Tasks Work
Link Tasks to Key Results
Every task in Pulse OKR can be connected to a specific Key Result. This creates a clear line of sight from daily work to strategic goals.
For example:
- Key Result: "Increase user activation rate from 40% to 60%"
- Tasks:
- Implement onboarding tooltip flow
- Add progress indicators to setup wizard
- Create welcome email sequence
- A/B test new user dashboard
When you complete tasks, you'll see exactly how they contribute to your Key Results.
Multiple Views for Different Workflows
We know teams work differently, so Tasks offers flexible views:
- List View – Simple, scannable view grouped by status or Key Result
- Kanban Board – Drag-and-drop cards across customizable columns
- My Tasks – Personal view of everything assigned to you
Switch between views anytime – your data stays synchronized.
Smart Organization
Tasks come with everything you need to stay organized:
- Priority levels – Mark what's urgent vs. nice-to-have
- Due dates – Never miss a deadline
- Assignees – Clear ownership for every task
- Status tracking – To Do, In Progress, Done (and custom statuses)
- Labels – Add custom tags for filtering
Why Tasks Inside Your OKR Tool?
1. Context Without Switching
See your Key Result progress while viewing related tasks. No more jumping between apps to understand how work connects to goals.
2. Automatic Progress Insights
When tasks are linked to Key Results, you get a clearer picture of execution progress. See at a glance how much planned work is complete.
3. Better Check-ins
During OKR check-ins, reference completed tasks to explain progress. Your work history is right there alongside your Key Results.
4. Team Alignment
Everyone can see what tasks are in flight for each Key Result. This transparency helps teams coordinate and avoid duplicate work.
